Manufacturer’s Warranty and RMA Policy

At Meckeys, we are committed to providing fair and transparent support for all warranty claims. Most products and accessories sold on meckeys.com include a manufacturer’s warranty supported directly by us. Please review this policy in full before initiating a request.

1. How to Initiate a Claim

To begin, please submit an official request through our portal: Raise an RMA Request Here

  • Initial Troubleshooting: Once an issue is logged, our RMA team will provide troubleshooting steps (e.g., factory reset, firmware updates) to attempt a quick resolution.
  • Eligibility: A product is eligible for RMA service only if a manufacturing defect is confirmed and troubleshooting does not resolve the issue.
     

2. The RMA & Service Process

  • Shipping to Meckeys: Customers are responsible for sending the product to our RMA center (address shared via email).
  • Inspection: Every product undergoes a thorough technical inspection and diagnosis upon arrival.
  • Step-by-Step Resolution: We follow a prioritised service approach:
    • Repair: Attempted first for all valid claims.
    • Spare Part Replacement: Conducted if a repair is insufficient.
    • Full Product Replacement: Provided only if repair and part replacement are not possible, subject to stock availability.
  • Warranty Shipping & Service Cost: Shipping the product to our RMA center is borne by the customer, while all servicing costs and return shipping to the customer are borne by Meckeys for all valid warranty claims.

3. End-of-Life (EOL) & Out-of-Stock Products

  • Out of Stock: If a replacement is required but unavailable, you may be requested to wait until stock arrives. We will communicate clear expected timelines.
  • End-of-Life (EOL): If a product is discontinued, we will offer alternative replacement options up to the original product cost.
  • Store Credit (EOL Only): For EOL products only, customers may opt for store credit based on the following schedule:

4. Shipping Fee Compensation

Meckeys provides shipping fee compensation in terms of store credit only for confirmed manufacturing defects. Limits are based on product size:

  • Small Size (e.g., Mouse): ₹100.
  • Medium Size (Keyboard up to 65%): ₹200.
  • Large Size (Keyboard above 65%): ₹300.

5. Product Condition & Hygiene Policy

  • Maintenance: Products must be sent for RMA in a clean and well-maintained condition.
  • Hygiene Refusal: Meckeys reserves the right to decline RMA requests for unclean, dusty, or poorly maintained products to safeguard employee hygiene.
  • Cleaning Charges: If a product is accepted but requires cleaning, a mandatory charge of ₹200 will apply.

6. Important Warranty Exclusions

Warranty coverage applies strictly to manufacturing defects. Coverage is void in the following cases:

  • Improper Use: Incorrect installation, power surges, liquid spills, or unauthorized modifications.
  • Poor Maintenance: Damage from heavy dust, pests, or insect infestations
  • Physical Damage: Any form of physical, cosmetic damage, or damage from accidents/mishandling.
  • Normal Wear & Tear: Issues arising from standard long-term usage.

7. Non-Defective & Physically Defective Returns

To ensure a prompt resolution, customers must provide clear photographic or video evidence of the reported defect when initiating an RMA request. All claims are subject to functional verification by our technical team upon receipt. 

  • Non-Defective Units: If the reported issue cannot be verified within seven (7) business days of inspection, the product will be returned to the customer in its original condition with a diagnostic report, and the claim will be closed.
  • Physical Defect Identified: If a physical defect (not covered by warranty) is found, the customer must cover return shipping and applicable service charges.
  • Shipping Penalty: If shipping compensation was previously provided for a product later found to have a physical defect, the return shipping fee will be twice the original shipping cost.

8. Warranty Periods & Timelines

  • Standard Warranty: Most electronics carry a 1-year or 2-year warranty; refer to your specific product page for exact details.
  • Battery Warranty: Rechargeable batteries are consumable and covered for 3 to 6 months depending on the brand. (maximum 6 months)
  • RMA Timeline: We aim to respond to requests within 2-3 business days. Total processing typically takes 1–3 weeks after we receive the product.
  • Policy on Refunds: Refunds are not applicable under any circumstance for products undergoing warranty or RMA processing.
  • Meckeys Continuity Note: A replacement product carries the remaining warranty period of the original purchase.

Meckeys reserves the right to deny any warranty claim or refund request if the product is found to be in unsuitable condition or the issue is determined to be outside eligible criteria.
