Great keyboard and it make typing very comfortable and even it increased my typing speed and I can type for long time as due to IT job nature I have to work for 12 hours or more hence this keyboard helped me alot to write long emails and even to have chat with team mates and for coding it is best and placement of keys are on best position you can use any of typing tutor software to train yourself and this keyboard will fit there keys spacing and that is the beauty why a standard keyboard is used for teaching typing, so if you are a professional and want to work for long hours and for long duration of life without making any issue to your wrists then I will recommend you to have this keyboard.
Some best pros:
1. Hot swappable – means if with time your keys are getting old and not so smooth as when you purchased it then just replace the keys not the entire keyboard so you will save lots of money and can have typing taste as of your choice. As I love to type hence using Gateron G pro red scitches which are most smooth and comfortable keys for typing.
2. Feel – It is awesome and loving the feel and this feel make you to type more and more and you will start loving your keyboard and it improves your typing experience a lot.
3. Look – It is awesome and keys are super smooth and comfortable look is very premium and it is very durable.
4. I have purchased this keyboard for long years usage or you can say one keyboard for life as you can change the keys whenever you want it.
5. It has great firmware and have 4 layers of keyboard layout for your usage.
6. You can connect to three devices through bluetooth and one through cable.
7. RGB lights are great and battery backup is also good.
8. It has rechargable battery so whenever you connect with cable your keyboard starts charging.
9. Ther is no lag when you connect your keyboard through bluetooth and even through cable well cable is best for connectivity as you will never go out of battery.
10. Very easy to use and feel great.
So last verdict.
Most of the professionals and keyboards enthusiast are already known of Keychron keyboard.
So if you are situated in India then don’t go for keychron as you are getting your keychron keyboard in India itself thanks to Meckeys – Arion Frost K8 pro keyboard. As it is build on Open source K8 Pro prototype hence it is exactly the same keychron k8 pro product.
You will get all necessary associaries as well with it like dust cover which increase the durability of your keyboard as dust is the biggest enemy of any electronic device which is not present in Keychron keyboards if you purchase it from USA. So it is best for Indians like me. Typuing sound is very milky buttery smooth and hear like music to ears.
Great work Meckeys team. Hoping to see you as global leader from India in keyboard as Keychron is from USA side.

This keyboard when looked in isolation is completely fine. You won’t regret buying this if you are unaware of other options. As in 2025, buying a keyboard worth over 8k, that too without a gasket mounted design and less foaming and sound absorbing materials is not worth it.
The product mentions that it has sound absorbing materials but it is just the silicon base and some foam between plate and the pcb. But other offerings provide you 5 layers of sound absorbing materials. This keyboard is almost fine but there are some caviats and flaws which irritates me which i will mention at the end of this review.
And be carefull with the choice in switches, they provide a set of other switches in the box which i tried so, let me tell you how each switch feels to use:
1. Brown g pro switch: This is the most common choice for entry level users (I bought this one) since the world plauds it as sweet spot between the clicky switch and the linear switches. They are not wrong but we as customers get the wrong sense. Just take in the membrane keyboard as a reference, the slight resistance you feel before pressing the key down is what the keyboard enthusiast call it as tactile. This switch thankfully is not as resistant as a membrane keyboard, it is closer to a red switch but still there is a slim resistance (You won’t notice the bumpiness or the resistance which is really subtle until you compare it with other switches)
2. Blue switch: Most people go for this switch for the clicky sound which is generally conceived as the more mechanical sound and let me tell you that you don’t need this much of clickiness in your keyboard. The mechanical sound that you are looking for is already provided from the linear and tactile switch. There is no need to turn up the clickiness and sound beyond what the other switches provide. The sound from the blue switch is very metal clang or ping. This is the only switch which creates it own sound, every other switch, you get most of the sound from the keyboard.
3. Red switch: Trying this switch made me realise why the internet loves linear switches. This is switch has a very linear activation and is very smooth to press. The brown and the blues provide a small resistance before pressing al the way down just like membrane but with lot less of resistance. The smoothness and linear force provides comfort to your fingertips. It almost feels like a luxury when compared to the rest of the switches. Red is the only switch among the four options which gave me the most worry free and comfortable experience (brown is not bat though)
4. Yellow switch: Think of this one as heavier red switch. This one needs more force to push. The high force might make you feel it to be similar to brown but it is not, the high force is consistent across the entire travel unlike the brown where the entire resistance is only at the top of the key travel. This switch is recommended to those with heavy fingers.
Cons of this Keyboard:
1. Uneven sound: The space bar in this keyboard sounds like as if it is from entirely another keyboard. So does the shift key but its sound feels like complentary to the alphabet keys unlike the space bar. The sound of the space bar almost feels irritating when used with the other keys. Many youtube videos has mentioned and pointed out this problem and I overlooked it.
2. Too heavy: This is a good thing and a bad thing. Being heavy means that this keyboard does not move much around the table and also feel a lot more sturdy and stable. But if you plan to carry this with your laptop in your backpack, rethink your decisions. This keyboard technically might not be heavier than your laptop but it is definetly more denser. This will make your backpack feel heavy.
3. No shine through keycaps: This keycap is a standard double shot pbt keycap. This might be one of the reason why this keyboard sounds so good (except the space bar). But it is not shine through which means that you won’t be able to see the legends during night which is a problem till you get used to the key spacing in this keyboard. PBT keycaps with shinethrough comes only with side print so be considerate when you go for shinethrough pbt keycaps.
4. The height of keyboard: Since I am coming from a membrane keyboard which was a slim one, this keyboard started giving pain to my wrist because of its height. Then i started using a small towel as my wristrest to solve this problem.
Things I enjoy in this keyboard:
1. The feel: This is my first mechanical keyboard so, the long keystrokes and the smoothness compared to my previous membrane keyboard makes this keyboard feel like a luxury item.
2. The sound: Every other key except the space bar sounds exceptional. With gradual use this keyboard feels a lot more creamy and somewhat thocky when typed fast. Sounds luxury to me.
3. The via software: This is an underappreciated feature of this keyboard. You can remap each of your key to macros or any other functions which can do magic to your setup. The macros can open a particular folder in your pc, it can open up apps (any app in your pc), you can remap any key to perform a combination of keystrokes which might correspond to a keyboard shortcut which you use often. This feature brings in the power of magic and customizability to your keyboard.
4. The lighting effects are fun to use and play with. But they are useless when you are focussing on work.
5. Bluetooth: The bluetooth connectivity is phenomenal, it is so easy to switch between multiple devices with fn + 1, 2, 3 for each device. It is quick and easy and worry free.
6. Amazing build quality.
Sorry for the long review, but do look at other options, they provide more for less money. The cheaper options generally don’t come with greate software support but if you don’t plan on modding the keymaps then it should not play any role into your consideration.

Just awesome! The original Keychron K8 Pro, the Aluminum version and everything, for so much cheaper. I just thought I won’t like the color, but it looks much better irl. It is hotswappable and fully supports QMK and VIA, so enjoying it on Arch Linux.
Been using it close to a month and have faced no issues at all, would just recommend a wrist rest as it has quite a high profile

Nice keyboard, one thing, I felt is space bar is louder compared to other keys, I think it is common in keyboards, I am not an expert.
Also, the dust cover was broken , but they shipped me other one, without any replacement, and on initial impression, it felt superior to the first one(the second one is also keychron dust cover), anyway it was nice.

This is a fine keyboard with good build quality, great tactile feel (brown switch), and good responsiveness. The packaging was secure and arrived without any damage.
However, there were a couple of quality control issues. The Windows keycaps had deep scratches, so I ended up using the Mac keycaps on a Windows machine. Additionally, the included usb c cable looked worn out, with the silver coating on the connector pin already coming off.

And considering how these come with the mac keycaps on its the cherry on top and probably the main reason i choose this over the aula . The build is really good too . Quality of keys and switches are perfect for the price range, typing feels butter smooth, RGB were bright enough.
Although the real problem was when I received my product, it was well packed by meckeys team no damages were visible at all. It was when I opened the actual keychron package(the keychron package was also properly factory packed no signs of any tampering), I found that the dust cover was a little cracked from top right and the keys (F7, F8, pgup and pgdn and 2-3 more) with their switches were out of the chassis, hopefully the switch pins weren’t damaged and as the keyboard was hot-swappable I was able to put them back, and it worked properly after testing. I was a little bit disappointed seeing this, especially coming from a renowned company like Keychron and Meckeys!!

First of all the Performance: It exceeded the expectations I had, the keys responsiveness and accuracy is on point! Never ever I had any keys miss typed or double typed… [Been using is from last 1.5 months now]
Comfort & ergonomics: The comfort is great easily the best by far. And the ergonomics are on point too. I have used this keyboard for straight 5 hours. And Never ever i feel the fingers go fatigued or anything like that!
Durability: The built is great. With the sides being all aluminum build. Adds extra weight to it but in a good way. Improves sound quality too. Also I choosed Gateron G Pro yellow. 3.0 switches

Purchased with Brown Keys. Keyboard quality is very good (as expected of Keychron). The finish of the keycaps and frame is also good. Lighting is smooth and even, though there is a little bit of a bright spot when viewed from a low angle (nature of key design, unavoidable). The dust cover is a very welcome addition. Only thing I would add to this to round out the experience is a wrist rest due to the height of the keyboard.
